New hobby, no surprise really

 So, having bought some stuff through Wish and AliExpress, mainly diamond painting stuff, because it is just so much cheaper than buying it in the UK.

A while ago I stumbled over those book nooks when browsing on Amazon. I was torn between yes or no. Then yes at some won the race and I bought one. The scifi scene.


I have added some pictures of the work in progress as well. I used some decoupage varnish to give it a wet look. It took me about a week working on it between 4 and 8 hours a day.

It's not perfect and I have learnt a lot about glue and what to use where. And I keep buying new tools to make life easier.

This one took longer than expected. The floor lamp was broken. Thankfully all the pieces were in the bag. It’s not perfectly straight but it looks ok. Also if you want to make these miniatures I recommend getting a set of acrylic markers. I was able to paint over the cracks. Also they work great to touch up stuff or paint over shiny wires. The hanging seat was a right royal pain in the arse. I took the Raffia ribbons apart and wrapped it around the joints. And I covered the wires along the pergola with green ones I had left over from a previous set. The hanging seat has a different back because I measured it wrong. I actually like it better that way. So now just the dust covers.
